The Salvation Army Food Pantry provides a two to three day supply of emergency food to neighborhood individuals and families who are hungry. The food is given on the day it is requested and represents breakfast, lunch and dinner for all members of the household. Those receiving food are also informed about how they can participate in supplemental food programs so they can move beyond visiting charity food pantries.
Our current geographic service area includes residents of the 53205 and 53208 zip codes. Individuals living outside of this area are served at their initial visit, and then referred to a pantry that serves their neighborhood.
We serve an average of 10,500 cases, or 25,500 individuals annually. The Salvation Army Food Pantry is supported through various food drives and donations from Hunger Task Froce.
