Christmas in
October!
Area Residents Invited to Get Early Start on Sharing the Holiday
Spirit
WHAT:
For many Americans, it’s hard to imagine celebrating Christmas without a
tree to decorate. Yet today many families struggle to make ends meet
and in turn have to forego some holiday traditions like purchasing a
Christmas tree. The Salvation Army is teaming up with Treetime, a
national premium artificial tree and décor company headquartered in
Chicago’s northwest suburb, to help Milwaukee and Chicago area families
in need with its Tree Trade-In program.
WHEN: October 1 –
31, 2012
WHERE:
Area residents can donate their gently used artificial Christmas tree
by contacting The Salvation Army to schedule a pick-up of their donated
tree by contacting: The Salvation Army at:
1800-SA-TRUCK www.satruck.org
Or donate your gently used artificial tree at:
Treetime Christmas Creations showroom
22N102 Pepper Road
Lake
Barrington,
IL
www.treetime.com
Residents
who donate an artificial tree will receive up to 15 percent off a new
Treetime artificial Christmas tree purchase (to be redeemed by October
31).
WHY:
Treetime Christmas Creations business
owners Joe and Laurie Kane know firsthand how festive decorations,
especially a Christmas tree, can lift one’s spirits during the holiday
season. The Salvation Army has more than 5,000 Chicago area families
and 56,000 in Milwaukee County, that regularly visit their local retail
stores in the months leading up to the holiday season. The two area
organizations have teamed up to spread holiday cheer through donations
of gently used artificial trees for local families in need.
WHO:
The Salvation Army is the largest social service organization in the
world and the single largest direct provider of social services in
Chicago and the state of Illinois. The Army operates 200 points of
entry in neighborhoods across the greater Chicago area and 85 programs
in Milwaukee County, providing disaster relief, shelter, meals,
rehabilitation programs, child care and head start, senior services and
more.
Treetime Christmas Creations features more than
200 varieties of Christmas trees, as well as wreaths, garland, storage
containers, accessories and other holiday décor. Treetime
artificial
Christmas trees are designed exclusively by seasoned designers that
understand the importance of style, beauty, reliability and quality
craftsmanship. Owned and operated by Lake Zurich residents Joe and
Laurie Kane, Treetime products are available via online or telephone
ordering, and its 50,000 square foot showroom in Lake Barrington, IL.
