 Baldknobbers Jamboree

Receive free admission for the donation of a nonperishable food item!

Branson MO (April 18, 2012) The Baldknobbers Jamboree will help feed those who are most in need by helping fill The Salvation Army's Emergency Food Pantry in Branson.

Admission to the Baldknobber's area appreciation shows this week will be free with the donation of nonperishable canned food items, which will help restock the Branson Corps' Emergency Food Pantry.  The February 29th EF2 tornado damaged the Branson Corps' roof, several large windows, a passenger van and much of the food in its food pantry.

"We understand that for many of our neighbors life is still not back to normal and many continue to struggle to put food on the table," Tim Mabe, Baldknobbers Jamboree producer and ‘Droopy Drawers Junior' performer said. "Many of these folks are still being helped by The Salvation Army and the Baldknobbers are proud to help them continue to help others."

The area appreciation shows will take place on April 19, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. The shows are for Missouri residents in Stone, Taney, Christian, Greene, Webster, Douglas and Ozark counties as well as Arkansas residents in Benton, Carroll, Boone and Marion counties.

"We not only hope to help restock the Branson Corps' food pantry, we also hope to give our friends and neighbors a great show as always," Mabe said.

Tickets will be available at 1 p.m. the day of each appreciation show - advanced reservations will not be accepted.

For more information about the area appreciation shows please call the Baldknobbers Jamboree at (417) 334-4528 or visit For more information about donating to The Salvation Army please visit

Nonperishable food items that are most needed include: breakfast cereal, canned meats, pasta & pasta sauces, peanut butter, baby food, canned vegetables, rice, fruit juice and boxed dinners

About the Baldknobbers Jamboree

The Baldknobbers Jamboree has been innovating since they created the Branson entertainment formula in 1959. Their ties to Branson are strong, from opening day of Silver Dollar City to the original cast of Shepherd of the Hills, the Baldknobbers have always focused on community. When they aren't performing in their theater on Highway 76, you may still see them performing on the road, entertaining audiences of all ages with their 100% live show and encouraging people to come to Branson. In 2011 members of the cast went to Washington D.C. to see artifacts from the original cast become a part of American history at the Smithsonian Institution. Now those items are on display with other notable pieces of history like Abraham Lincoln's top hat and the rub red slippers from "The Wizard of Oz.
