CULVER'S OF SPRINGFIELD SUPPORTS
THE SALVATION ARMY &
LOCAL CHILDREN IN NEED!
Culver's of Springfield MO strives to make a difference!
Springfield, MO (July 23, 2013) -- Since opening the doors of the first restaurant in 1984, Culver's® has been committed to being an active member in its local community. On Tuesday July 30th, Culver's of Springfield, 2520 N. Glenstone & 1815 E Primrose St, will carry on that tradition by donating a portion of store sales received from 5 pm - 8 pm to The Salvation Army for its local back-to-school assistance program. Each Culver's location will also collect school supplies to be distributed the following week by The Salvation Army. Bring in three school supplies and receive a FREE SCOOP OF CUSTARD as well!
"We're proud to call Springfield home and doing our part to help just feels right," said Brian and Linda Addotta. "We strive to make a difference in the community we share with so many others, and working with Salvation Army allows us to help support individuals and families in our area."
Suggested school supply donations include backpacks, notebooks, crayons, folders, markers, glue, small pencil boxes, rulers, etc. Each year, The Salvation Army helps local children start the school year right by providing them with basic school supplies, backpacks, shoes and clothing from its thrift stores. Last year, The Salvation Army helped more than 1,000 local children start the school year right through its back-to-school assistance program!
"Our hope is to not only ease the financial burden placed on many families during this time of year, but to also give children the confidence they need in order to learn and succeed," Major Claire Grainger, Springfield Corps Officer, said.
