Volunteer Bellringers Needed!
Hundreds and hundreds of volunteer bellringers are needed throughout Greene & Christian counties from November 8th until December 24th. Bellringing is a great volunteer opportunity for not only individuals, but also for families, groups, organizations, and businesses! Red kettle locations include Battlefield Mall, Hy-Vee, Bass Pro Shops, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Price Cutter, Hobby Lobby ...and many more locations throughout the Ozarks! Toy Shop 'Shopping Buddies'
Volunteer Toy Shop 'Shopping Buddies' are needed during the following shifts on Thursday December 19th & Friday December 20th to help distribute toys & food to families that are receiving Christmas assistance from The Salvation Army. This is a great volunteer opportuniy for businesses, civic groups, churches and organizations! Please note that all volunteer 'shopping buddies' who help in the Christmas Toy Shop must be at least 18 years old. However, those under the age of 18 are welcome to volunteer during Shift #3 on Friday December 20th from 5 pm until 7 pm. During this shift, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All Christmas Toy Shop volunteer events & activites are tentatively scheduled to take place at The Salvation Army's main location - 1707 W. Chestnut Expressway. 'Cans Film Festival' Food Drive
HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS will be needed at The Salvation Army in Springfield MO on Sat. December 7 from Noon until 9 pm to help sort, arrange & pack-up canned food items donated during Wehrenberg Theaters' 'Cans Film Festival'. Children under the age of 14 are welcome to volunteer, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Saturday Dec. 7th
Shift #1: Noon - 3 pm
Shift #2: 3 pm - 6 pm
Shift #3: 6 pm - 9pm
Lawncare & Landscaping Volunteers - Lawncare & landscaping volunteers are needed throughout the week - Monday through Friday from 8 am until 6 pm - to help with lawn mowing, trimming and to provide general landscaping assistance to the maintenance department as needed. Hours are felxible and all equipment & supplies will be provided.
Volunteer Drivers - Volunteer drivers are needed Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. to help pick up & deliver food donations, transport residents to and from appointments, and assist with other transportation needs.
Qualified volunteer drivers must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Class E (passenger/chauffeur's) license and pass a thorough background check. Volunteer drivers will have use of a Salvation Army vehicle during these volunteer opportunities.
Family Thrift Stores - Volunteers are needed every 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month at our Family Thrift Store located at 1737 S. Campbell Ave. Volunteers are needed in shifts from 9 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. This is a great volunteer opportunity not only for individuals, but also for student groups, businesses and organizations. Administrative Offices- Volunteers are needed primarily Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to help with light administrative and clerical duties such as filing, data entry, photocopying and telephone reception.
