DID YOU KNOW?

> The Salvation Army of Waukesha was founded all the way back in 1894?

> That we operate the largest Men's Homeless Shelter in the county?

> That we serve free, hot evening meals to roughly 300 persons per week on three nights?

> That we ALWAYS have free loaves of bread available?

> That every weekday in the summer, we feed free lunches to hundreds of hungry kids?

> That we offer numerous Bible Study opportunities every week?

> That our Worship Chapel seats 350 persons and welcomes all at 11am Sunday?

> That we are completely donor supported-- Red Kettles, Direct Mail Appeals, Special Events, Grants?

> That we have an active Women's Ministry that's looking to grow in 2016 and 2017?

> That our husband and wife majors, Deborah and Nelson De La Vergne, are lifelong Salvation Army servants, both ordained ministers, and that Major "De" as we call him, spent 16-days at Ground Zero after the 9-11 attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center?

> Would you be proud to support us?

> Would you be proud to volunteer with us? To organize a team from work, church, your clubs, friends?

OUR LATEST DAY-TO-DAY NEWS AND PHOTOS

BROOKFIELD ACADEMY WORK DAY -- A BIG HELP!!

BrkfldAcadPews

Students from Brookfield Academy fulfilled service hours by spending the day helping in the food pantry sorting canned goods, in the Youth Ministry creating bulletin boards for the new school year, and in our worship chapel cleaning woodwork and pews. Thank you very, very much! It was a pleasure to have each of you with us, and your help made our burden lighter! Christian worship services in our chapel at 11am each Sunday. All are welcome!

A BIRD'S EYE VIEW OF OUR HOME IN WAUKESHA

CorpsAerial

YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. A local History club, interested in Waukesha, wanted to take aerial shots of downtown and asked if they could please launch a licensed drone from our parking lot just down the hill from the hospital. With proper approvals, we said yes-- and they sent us this! If you've never had the opportunity to visit the Waukesha Corps, our three-story headquarters building was constructed with donated funds in 1996. It houses offices, the Men's Homeless Shelter, the Food Pantry, the Dining Room and Kitchen where we serve three free evening meals each week, our Worship Chapel, our Youth Ministry offices and more! Tours are available and may be scheduled by any local civic, church or school organization. EVERYONE IS WELCOME at our building.

MAJOR STREET RECONSTRUCTION NOW AT FINAL STAGES

NewDriveway

Madison Street in downtown Waukesha (going up the hill to the hospital) has been under reconstruction all Summer. Finally, the double-wide driveway entrance to our Community and Worship Center at 445 Madison Street has been restored, making the area much safer for both drivers and pedestrians. Thank you, City of Waukesha!
