Waukesha Salvation Army TOY SHOP
Focus for 2016: New, warm coats, gloves, mittens, hats
How it works: Drop off your gifts-- UNwrapped please-- at the Waukesha Salvation Army Corps building, located at 445 Madison Street, at the double red doors off of our parking lot. Gifts are accepted M-F 8:30 to Noon, and, 1:00 to 4:00pm.
Volunteers sort and organize all gifts, then families that have applied to benefit from your generosity are invited in and provided Christmas gifts for their families appropriate for the children involved.
They are provided with gift wrapping so that they, themselves, may experience the joy of wrapping these wonderful presents for their loved ones.
Angel Tree Program
Host an Angel Tree at your school, church, workplace or community group!
How it works:
Contact The Salvation Army to request Angel Tags.
Each Angel Tag represents a child in need of gifts and includes gift suggestions/wish list.
Distribute, post or hang on a "tree" at your school, church, workplace or community group.
Purchase appropriate gifts and return to The Salvation Army by the appropriate day.
Gifts will be distributed to families through The Salvation Army in December.
Organize your family, friends, co-workers, church or community group. Adopt/sponsor one or more families for Christmas!
How it works:
- Contact The Salvation Army for program guidelines.
- Return the completed Interest Sheet to The Salvation Army.
- The Salvation Army will match you with a family in need for this year.
- Purchase appropraite gifts!
- Return all gifts to The Salvation Army by the appropriate date.
- The Salvation Army will contact the family so they can receive their gifts and be ready for a special Christmas morning!
