
EMERGENCY DISASTER SERVICES
The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Service operates 24/7, 365 days a year offering relief for first responders of emergency disasters, providing mobile and/or fixed feeding programs like hot meals or snacks, water, cleaning supplies, comfort kits, referrals to other agencies when appropriate and spiritual counseling.
Omaha Disaster Services Response Team
The Salvation Army's mobile feeding program reaching out on cold evenings to homeless and near-homeless by providing a hot meal, winter outerwear, referrals to other agencies when appropriate and spiritual counseling. Winter Night Watch operates Monday through Friday, December 1 through February 28, 6 to 9 PM.
Needs: If you would like to donate winter outerwear, such as gently used hats, gloves, mittens, coats, and new socks contact the Winter Night Watch Coordinator at 402-898-5942.
Volunteers needed, 18 years and older. Drivers needed to drive mobile disaster unit, must be 24 years of age. If interested, please call the Volunteer Department 898-6000.
